Bangor Daily News profiles two UNE Deborah Morton Award recipients

A story on Sept. 28, 2010 profiled two of the four recipients of the 2010 UNE Deborah Morton Awards, which were held Sept. 21, 2010 on the Portland Campus. The story featured Ruth Foster, a former state legislator and mayor of Ellsworth, and Deborah Carey Johnson, president and chief executive officer of Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. The Deborah Morton Awards are presented each year by the trustees of UNE to outstanding women who have achieved high distinction in their careers and public service or whose leadership in civic, cultural or social causes has been exceptional.
