Engaging students in the role of health professions

Students in the sophomore class of Massabesic High School visited the 糖心传媒's Portland Campus on May 4.  They were hosted by Dr. Jane O'Brien, associate professor in occupational therapy whose son is a member of the class.  Westbrook College of Health Professions Dean David Ward welcomed the group and students heard presentations from Peter Heeley of the admissions office and Dr. Regi Robnett, UNE's director of occupational therapy.

Graduate student guides included Lindsey Holmes, Erin O'Brien, Courtney Craib, Kira Keough, Julie Eldredge, Kirsten Schrepper and Taylor Hovey.  During their visit, students received hands on overviews of the professions of occupational therapy, dental hygiene, anatomy and physiology and pharmacy, and also got a chance to tour the UNE Art Gallery.
