Jane O'Brien's two OT textbooks make top 10 texts used in OT programs by NBCOT

The National Board Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) just released the results of the 2010 Text and Journal Survey (August, 2010).  The survey identified the most current and commonly used texts and peer-reviewed journals. NBCOT refers to the results of this survey when considering updates for the item development and item validation reference list.

Jane O鈥橞rien, Ph.D., associate professor in UNE鈥檚 OT Department, has two textbooks that made the top 10 texts used in OT programs by NBCOT.

For OTR programs:  Case-Smith, J. & O鈥橞rien, J (2010). Occupational Therapy for Children (6th ed.). St. Louis: Mosby.  [required by 95%]

For OTA programs:   Solomon, J. & O鈥橞rien, J. (2005). Pediatric Skills for Occupational Therapy Assistants. St.Louis: Mosby [Required by 70%]

A third text was reported to be used by at least 20% of OTA and OTR programs:

Hussey, S., Sabonis-Chafee, B. & O鈥橞rien, J. (2007). Introduction to Occupational Therapy. St. Louis: Mosby  [ required by 46% OTA programs;  16% OT programs]
