Lara Carlson gave presentation at the 57th Annual Meeting of the American College of Sports Medicine

Lara A. Carlson, Ph.D., FACSM, Assistant Professor of Applied Exercise Science at the 糖心传媒, presented her genomic responses to exercise research at the 57th Annual Meeting of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) conference in conjunction with the inaugural World Congress on Exercise is Medicine (EIM) in Baltimore, MD.

The World Congress and ACSM was a historic and global forum, which addressed the science, policy, practice, and public health aspects regarding the importance of exercise on disease prevention and health promotion.

U.S. Surgeon General, Vice Admiral Regina Benjamin, MD, spoke at the meeting and led a community walk along Baltimore's Inner Harbor. Dr. Benjamin signed America's prescription for health, signifying her commitment to improved health for all people. Dr. Carlson, a Fellow and Past-President of the ACSM New England Chapter, walked alongside Dr. Benjamin.
