'Out and Allied,' theatre pieces about LGBTQ youth and allies featured in Portland Press Herald

on Oct. 19, 2010 published a feature story on 'Out and Allied,' theatre pieces by and about lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youths and their allies. The pieces are being performed by Add Verb Productions at the ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½, the University of Southern Maine and the First Parish Church in Portland. The cast includes 16 students from UNE, USM, and local high schools. 

The production includes short performance pieces that explain what it means to be an ally to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youths. The theater pieces include poems, monologues and short plays – most written by young people. Collectively, they examine life, love and acceptance. The UNE performance is at 7:30, Oct. 19 at the Campus Center Multipurpose Rooms, Biddeford Campus.
