Second Annual Diabetes Dash for Kids

DPT students Natalie Cormier, Hannah Ehrenhardt, Jessica Lattimer, Janelle Trippany, and Sarah Wittaker joined faculty member Jim Cavanaugh in volunteering their time at the second annual "" held at Greely High School track in Cumberland, Maine on Sunday, September 26, 2010. 

This event was established to raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, an organization dedicated to finding a cure for type 1 diabetes.  This is a race developed solely for children ages 3-12. On a cool but sunny day, an unbelievable number of parents and children showed up to race in the various  children and parent-children relay races around the track.  The event raised over $15,000 for the Foundation.
