On October 13, UNE hosted an appreciation dinner at Cahners Lounge on the Portland Campus for active duty and retired military including their family and friends from among our faculty, staff and students.

“We want vets to know that we value and respect them and their service, and are able to provide support services to help them transition to our environment,” said John Langevin, assistant dean of students for student support services/director of counseling.

Dr. Langevin, who is also a veteran, said, “This was a kick-off event to bring the UNE community together in support of our soldiers who are, or have been, in harm’s way, and those family members who love and support them.”
