UNE women's basketball teams' victory over USM covered by Portland Press Herald

The UNE women's basketball team's 89-79 victory over the University of Southern Maine was the focus of a full length sports story in the Nov. 16, 2010. "They're battle-tested," UNE Coach Anthony Ewing said of his players. "These are the kind of games they want to play in, against the top regional opponents." The UNE team has been picked as the league favorite in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) preseason poll.
