Rebecca Boulos receives funding for Youth Exercise in Sports Study

Rebecca Boulos, M.P.H., Ph.D., assistant clinical professor in the School of Community and Population Health (SCPH), received a 糖心传媒 Office for Research and Scholarship faculty mini-grant to fund the Youth Exercise in Sports Study (YESS). Michele Polacsek, M.H.S., Ph.D., associate professor in SCPH, is co-investigator.

This study seeks to assess the youth sport environment in Maine by measuring the amount of physical activity youth expend in organized sport leagues, and classifying the types of foods and beverages marketed and sold in concession stands, through team fundraising efforts, and in sports venues.
