UNE announces plans for first varsity football series

The 糖心传媒 recently announced that it will compete in its first varsity football competition with the United States Coast Guard Academy during the 2018 and 2019 seasons. This news was reported on by local news outlets WCSH6 and WMTW.

The first game will take place on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Cadet Memorial Field in New London, Connecticut. The second competition will take place the following season on UNE鈥檚 Biddeford Campus, Saturday, September 7, 2019.

UNE Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Jack McDonald was quoted in the WCSH6 article, stating 鈥淐ompeting against such a prestigious academic, athletic and military academy will give our university, Biddeford and Southern Maine fans an outstanding game and opponent.鈥
