David Mokler, Ph.D., Professor of Pharmacology in the 糖心传媒 College of Osteopathic Medicine has co-authored a paper titled, 鈥淒NA Methylation Signature of Early Childhood Malnutrition Associated with Impairments in Attention and Cognition鈥 in the journal, Biological Psychiatry.

The paper reports on changes in DNA both in adult humans exposed to prenatal protein malnutrition as well as changes in a rat model of prenatal protein malnutrition, and how these changes are associated with deficits in attention and cognition in both humans and animals.
