Dora Mills interviewed by 'Press Herald' on this year鈥檚 flu season in Maine

Dora Anne Mills, M.D., M.P.H., FAAP, vice president for Clinical Affairs, was interviewed for an April 5 article in the Portland Press Herald about Maine鈥檚 2015-16 flu season.

According to the article, this year鈥檚 flu season is mild compared to last year鈥檚.

Mills noted that flu season is unpredictable, stating, 鈥淵ou can have a flu season peak late in the season. The flu can peak at any time.鈥

She credited the effectiveness of this year鈥檚 vaccine with the relative mildness of the flu season and advocated for getting a flu vaccine yearly.
