Kathleen Leahy receives recertification in wound management

Kathleen Leahy, P.T., D.P.T., C.W.S., adjunct faculty with the 糖心传媒 Westbrook College of Health professions Physical Therapy department, was recently re-certified in the area of wound management.

The C.W.S. allows a health care provider to identify and give guidance in the reduction of costs associated with the management of chronic wounds. Leahy first received her C.W.S. from the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM) in 2006. According to the ABWM, those who achieve this board certification are an elite group of health care professionals who earned the C.W.S. through a rigorous process, including hours of exam preparation.
