The March 31, 2016 issue of the Lincoln County News featured an article that discusses the current exhibition at UNE’s Art Gallery: "The Art of Mildred G. Burrage.â€

Burrage was a longtime resident of Wiscasset, Maine, and, according to Anne Zill, director of the Art Gallery, who was interviewed for the article, the exhibition “is the first comprehensive exhibition of her work since her death in 1983.â€

The exhibition includes impressionist pieces; historical maps and patriotic posters; paintings created during Burrage’s time in the Southwest, Mexico and Central America; and the abstract paintings from her later years, including her signature works with mica.

The exhibition runs through June 26, 2016.
