Edward Li, Pharm.D., M.P.H., BCOP, associate professor in the College of Pharmacy, recently presented at the Annual Meeting and Exposition of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA). His session, titled “Biosimilars: What Every Pharmacist Needs to Know,” was recapped in a Pharmacy Times article.

The article featured three key points from Li’s talk. It described the current status of biosimilars, including the ways that these biopharmaceuticals are tested and the new policies being drafted by the FDA. It also addressed the fast growth of biosimilars and the debate over how these products should be named.
